Belron® acquires two additional Chinese businesses
Belron® announces it has signed agreements to acquire two businesses in China in May 2010.
Belron® has acquired two more vehicle glass repair and replacement businesses in China. The businesses are located in the cities of Hangzhou, near Shanghai, and Shenzhen and Dongguan, near Hong Kong.
The business located in Hangzhou was founded by Mr Xing Ji Jiang. It employs more than 70 people and has three service centres and a distribution centre. Hangzhou is a city with a population of over 8 million people and is situated in one of the most successful economic regions in China.
The business located in Shenzhen and Dongguan was founded by Mr.Zhong Yang Sheng and has six service centres employing over 50 people. The city of Shenzhen is South China’s financial capital with a population of 8.5 million people. Dongguan has a population of over 6.5 million and is an important industrial city, ranking among the top five exporting cities in China.
Mr Xing will manage the Zhejiang province as well as parts of Eastern China while Mr Zhong will manage the Southern China region, both in close cooperation with our new Chinese management team based in Shanghai.
These acquisitions now give Belron® a presence in four major cities across China’s well developed regions where we can continue our strategy to become the natural choice for Chinese customers.
