OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS

Recruitment
Our recruitment process is similar for all senior executives and for all staff at the corporate office in Richmond, UK. We want the very best people, and for us that means the right combination of skills, experience and behaviours (against our leadership competencies).

Where do we recruit?
We value both industry experience and new perspectives. We often recruit from outside our industry, to update our skills and thinking. Please click here for details of our leadership competencies, which identify the qualities we are looking for in our management teams.

Our Recruitment Process
Step 1: Initial Interview
Candidates come to us from a combination of head-hunters, advertising and the web. Initially, we hold structured interviews to explore their experience and skills in some detail.

Step 2: Shortlist Prepared
Following the initial interviews, we prepare a shortlist of the best candidates.

Step 3: Final Assessment Day
An assessment day is then held, which includes for example:

  • Psychometric tests
  • A chance to demonstrate some key skills and behaviours
  • A structured interview with members of your potential team
We recognise that the recruitment process is as much about the candidates choosing us, as BELRON choosing candidates. So candidates have plenty of time to meet some of their potential colleagues and to ask questions and explore issues.

Step 4: Induction
The first two weeks with us is spent on a comprehensive induction programme, where our new team member can:

  • Spend time in several business units
  • Have a day out with a mobile windscreen fitter
  • Have a chance to meet and understand our fitters
