Sarah makes other people’s welfare her number one priority. The nature of her work means it can often go unnoticed, but she is continually solving problems behind the scenes, providing colleagues with a great environment in which to work. Sarah has a first-class attitude towards her work. She demonstrates a positive can-do approach and goes out of her way to find solutions and make things happen. For example, when the regular cleaning company failed to turn up and the standard of the toilets deteriorated beyond acceptable levels, Sarah came in on her day off to source emergency cleaners. On another occasion, blocked drains late one afternoon caused flooding in the kitchen area, making it impossible to prepare food for the next day. Sarah brought in a local drain company to clear the blockage, which took until midnight, and the restaurant was back in business in time for breakfast the next morning. And when the caterers didn’t have enough people available to serve in the staff restaurant, Sarah herself stood in to help!
