Group Chief Technology Officer

 

Carlos Leira was appointed to the role of Group Chief Technology Officer in September 2025.  He is an accomplished technology leader with extensive international experience and a strong technical background. He joined Belron from Europcar Mobility Group, where he was Group Chief Product and Technology Officer, having been previously Chief Technology Officer at Computershare.

 

Carlos spent 12 years at Computershare, the global leader in specialised financial services, where he held several leadership roles including Chief Information Officer for EMEA and Asia, CIO for North America and ultimately Global Chief Technology Officer.

 

Earlier in his career, Carlos held technology roles at Orange in the UK, 3Com in the Netherlands, and Tecnocom in Spain. 

 

Carlos holds a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Deusto University in Spain, as well as an MBA from Cranfield University in the UK.  He also serves as a Trustee of the Bristol and Weston Hospitals Charity Trust in the UK.
